We need roundabouts. They are more efficient, save more money, cause fewer delays, and in general, make more sense than intersections and traffic lights.

If you are open to roundabouts, then you must be ok with the gov't taking your front yard. As I am sure you are aware, that is what would happen to come residents in this case.

So, all roundabouts must be placed in someone's front yard. Is that what you are saying? I find that hard to believe.

Tim Enloe said...

No. What I am saying is that if a roundabout is constructed, it will take area from someone's property. That resident will then lose land to the city and part of their front yard in the process.

Remember, not everyone in Milton lives in subdivisions. Please be objective.

Gary Lauder makes a good point on this subject.

There is a problem in our community when people are so willing to write off other property owners perspectives if they were forced off of their property or some of their property was taken away via gov't hands.

Remember the basis for the founding of this country: equal treatment under the law. When we negate from that, we are going farther and farther away from what our founding fathers wanted this country to be.

Tim I agree with you in principal however you must take a better look at the areas in question. The intersection of Birmingham and Providence has land for the taking pretty much. The kudzu has been there for years, so wouldn't you think the owner would be happy that someone is willing to pay for it so they can get something in return. That being said, I'm certainly not in favor of roundabouts as the drivers in this area are far too stupid to figure them out.

Anonymous or not Anonymous? Doesn't really matter now does it? You think Karen Thurman actually commented on here? Tim, why don't you just take the comments OFF all together?

Tim, laugh a little and relax, right.
