HMS Eco-Explorers and Milton Milers Team up to Clean up

News From Tina D'Aversa

Dear Milton Neighbor,

Last Month the Milton Milers Walking Club and the D'Aversa Family adopted a one mile section of Bethany Bend Road east of Highway 9. The purpose of the Milton Grows Green Adopt-a-Road program is to encourage keeping our roads clean from trash. Adopting a road includes picking up trash and recyclables each quarter.

This weekend the Hopewell Middle School Eco-Explorers and teachers and a few Milton Milers came out to pick-up trash and recyclables.

Special thanks to Deborah Lajewski, Karen Brejcha, Jay Powell and Hopewell students and their parents for participating in the clean-up.

Milton Milers

The Milton Milers walking club meets Sunday and Wednesday afternoons at 5:00 PM to walk for health and wellness. Join your neighbors this Sunday, November 15, 2009, at 5:00 PM. Milton Milers meet at the Starbucks on Bethany Bend Road at Highway 9.

It is my honor to sponsor this group and to encourage healthy lifestyles. Walking is the number one exercise choice of health professionals to help keep you healthy.

Hopewell Middle School Eco-Explorers

The HMS Eco-Explorers members are middle school students and their teachers who care about the environment. Projects include: a school-wide recycling program, can-tabs recycling, environmental education, water conservation efforts, tree planting and protection and much more. HMS has adopted the section of road outside the school. A ceremony and sign planting is scheduled for December 1, 2009. HMS is proud to be a Milton Grows Green and Evergreen School.

To find out more about the Milton Milers, join us this Sunday at 5:00 at Starbucks on Bethany Bend Road for the 5 mile or the 3.5 mile walk.

Could someone please tell Tina the correct name of the stupid road so she doesn't keep calling it Bethany Bend Road?

Why not resolve it yourself by telling Tina?

I've actually had Tim send an e-mail to her on which I was copied...months ago...still no change.

Get's a little annoying after awhile, I'm starting to see why people have criticized it before me.

She would just deny it anyway.

Who cares about news from lame duck publicity hound Tina anyway??

Why don't you attack other people and places as well?

How about going after Jason Wright

" The scene was all smiles Aug. 31 at Quantum Bank on Bethany Bend Road in Milton, where the Hopewell Youth Association's 7U Hopewell Storm baseball team was commended for its stellar 2009 season"

Or Doug Nurse - The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Tuesday, April 07, 2009

"...Lauren Nicole Smith, 28, of Milton...It seems that on Sept. 12, Milton police found her parked in the middle of the road at Ga. 9 and Bethany Bend Road, so drunk she couldn’t figure out how to open her car door...."

Or perhaps you'd like to chastize the day care who list their address as:

Red Apple Day Care
3505 Bethany Bend Road, Alpharetta, GA 30004

Or how about a T Mobile Hotspot Location listed at:

2955 BETHANY BEND ROAD #100
Alpharetta ,GA
30004
United States

Gosh if you're that bored maybe you could really have fun and go after John Smoltz and Kings Ridge...

KING’S RIDGE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
2765 Bethany Bend Road
Alpharetta, GA 30004

Is it that significant an issue or is it really just an excuse to constantly attack Tina D'Aversa.

GROW UP PEOPLE!

E-mails have been sent to both Doug Nurse and Jason Wright before on this matter.

Doug also got one when he reported on the car chase last year and said Milton Road, instead of Milton Avenue...if you're going to report on this area, get your facts straight.

The whole point is that's it is just plain incorrect.

All of the Bethanys used to be Bethany Road.

They were changed in order to better separate the areas they are in, so you now have Bethany Road, Bethany Bend, and Bethany Way.

I mean really, how hard is it to get something like this right?

Is it that big of a deal? No, but damn, this is someone who adopted the road and they don't even know the name of it?

Same thing goes with places still listing their address as Alpharetta...it's been nearly 3 years, get it right already!

Out west, we refer to it as "the" rule. You know like take the 101 instead of highway 101. Yeah, it's not correct but who cares. Then again it's not a postal address. Kind of strange that all those businesses got it wrong. The way one refers to Bethany In conversation will now reveal the natives from the relos. BTW, another one is Thompson Road. The natives always refer to it as North or South Thompson. Relos just say Thompson. So there you go.

If we didn't attack Tina what else would we do with our day? We will miss her. Oh well.

It's called Bethany Bend. And it is a road.

Hang ups are the start of dementia, so is repetitiveness, so is repetitiveness.

Does Bethany Bend Road cross Hwy 9 Road or does Hwy 9 Road cross Bethany Bend Road?
Isn't Hwy 9 Road sometimes called Cumming Hwy Road?

I miss the election!
