Gone?

All:

We have been receiving reports over the course of the week regarding CH2MHill's possible departure from the city of Milton, GA. The company has been with the city since it's creation in December of 2006.

To date, CH2 has controlled the majority of the city's functions with exception of the Fire and Police departments. City employees contracted through the company include City Arborist Mark Law and Public Events Coordinator Linda Blow.

We will continue to update Accessmilton.com regarding this issue as information comes to us.

Could it be we are counting our chicks before they hatch?

Outrageous. We voted for local government, not big government. The city council should be held accountable. Council members that vote to eliminate privatized functions and increase the number of government employees with a retirement plan should be voted out of office. How many Milton taxpayers have a retirement plan?

Everyone should have a retirement plan, just like everyone should have public health insurance, right.

A 401K plan, yes. A costly defined contribution plan that few taxpayers have themselves, no. It's breaking Atlanta's back. It's breaking California's back. It will break Milton's back. And it's taxpayers.

A 401k Plan is a Defined Contribution Plan. I think you meant to day a Defined Benefit Plan.

Folks, why get all worked up over this supposedly big scoop. When has any of Tim's "big scoops" ever amounted to anything?

Because this one is true.

I see a hater... go back to your cave. Go on slither little snake.

guess most of you do not truelly know how much the city pays this place to run day to day operations 6-12 million a year). It would be extremely more cost effective to hire city employee's for around 700,000 to 1 million for salary and benifits a year..um.. im not the smartest guy, but that sounds like savings that can be passed back to the community

Dont know what ya got till it's gone.

It is doubtful whether the City truly knows how much it pays CH2MHill, how about it "Bloom"?

CH2Mhill thrives when big government thirves. It will be a great day for Milton when we send CH2 packing.

Still waiting for more info from "BIG SCOOP"

You will hear the scoop when they're ready to let you know - after it's all over and the dust has settled so there's no turning back. They'll take the body count and chalk it up to doing business. As with everything, time will tell if the right road was chosen by the powers that be.
