The first Milton Peoples Forum will be held at Shannondale Farm in Milton Thursday, Oct. 15. The event will start at 7p.m. with a meet-and-greet until 7:40 p.m. The forum will kick off at 7:45 p.m.
Shannondale Farm is located at 2225 Birmingham Road in Milton.Food and refreshments will be complimentary and provided by local Milton businesses, including Philly Pretzel Factory, Power Realty and the Beverage Depot, among others.
This event has been organized by Milton neighbors and will be a part of the electoral process going forward. Hosting the event are David and Julie Shannon of Shannondale Farms. "Julie and I are honored to host the first Milton Peoples Forum," said David Shannon. "We look forward to seeing our Milton neighbors that night."
The Master of Ceremonies will be Tim Enloe of Magnolia Media and www.accessmilton.com. "I am very pleased to be a part of the first Milton Peoples Forum. To provide an opportunity for voters to meet and hear candidates while giving local Milton businesses exposure is a great idea," he said.

Can't wait to see D'Aversa obliterate Longoria! If it's not about an amenities package or gating Crooked Creek, chances are Longoria will not know the answer. Of course, if they ask him about putting downtown in Crabapple, he may be versed on that illegal proposition. After all, KT and BL have been side-by-side drunk with him at every meet and greet. ReplyDeleteAt the end of the day, she had no business supporting such a plan so openly, as a Councilmember, before all the facts were reviewed. But, she does that sort of thing all the time.

ReplyDeleteIf she was so supportive in trying to get Crooked Creek gated why are Crooked creek residents proclaiming that she in fact was not and are thus supporting an alternative Candidate to further their interests?
Langoria certainly cannot (or rather should not) support anything that relates specifically to Crooked Creek if he gets elected to Council - that would constitute a conflict of interest and he would have to recuse himself.

My guess is most normal people would step aside without comment in such a situation, rather than having taxpayers foot the bill for legal opinions to stay and vote, as Julie always does. Or maybe she just thinks the world will spin out of orbit if she isn't present at the meetings.

ReplyDeleteThe city of Milton adopted the Fulton County ordinance in regard to the closing of public roads, which is illegal, which is why the ENTIRE council unanimously voted against the gating. For the neighborhood to get the gate they are going to have to change the LAW and Council does not change the LAW themselves.
How that ended up being DAversa's fault, when she was really the only one that was giving them an ear on the issue, is beyond me!

ReplyDeleteAs someone who lives on horse property in very close proximity to Crooked Creek, I'd love to see it gated. Take those roads off the list of roads that Milton is responsible for and then cut the Milton budget and taxes by that amount.
