He fought to stay in his own yard and then after several minutes of screaming by my DIL he fell and was dragged under the shared fence to his death by mauling. He basically bled out and died a few ours after getting to the vet.Greghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00296125617561766319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21862313.post-37073926110396228192015-04-13T20:26:44.596-07:002015-04-13T20:26:44.596-07:00On April 6th 2015 our beloved dog Jace was grabbed...On April 6th 2015 our beloved dog Jace was grabbed by the leg while standing on his own property and dragged to his death by the neighbor's two pit bulls. He received two tickets from animal control, failure to control his animals and a 2nd ticket for failure to have proper registration/vaccination. Under the HB685 that you (Claudine Wilkins) helped bring to lite...the assigned "dog control officer" allowed the return of these dangerous animals to their owner who has today a week removed from the attacks still done nothing to his fence. We have a 17 month old boy that can not even play in his back yard for fear that these dangerous animals will pull him under the fence or get into our yard and kill our son. Why does this bill allow for a 2nd attack on a human before the dangerous animals can be put to death. Why do these pit bulls get to savagely tear my sweet and loving pet to pieces while 2 animal control and one Sheriff's deputy stand by and watch for 30 min and do absolutely nothing. My 54 year old wife and 8.5 mo pregnant DIL were helpless and only able to keep the kids back so they did not have to witness the brutality of it. Why did the officer not shoot the ground and or the pit bulls as they attacked our family member? Why did the animal control officers wait until the pit bulls stopped aggressively attacking our dog to catch them and put them into the truck..only to release them to the owner? This family is in ruins and now must live next to these two animals. What can we do? We need your help and advice.
