They are piss poor managers of people and that is what running a city is all about. It appears she was hurt, and rightly so, if it happened the way you state, for being eliminated without even a thank you, good luck, or goodbye from the mayor. However, do you think airing this on AM is going to help the situation.

By the way were you an employee of CH2 or Milton and are you still employed?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21862313.post-83041447762290159492010-01-07T06:32:37.838-08:002010-01-07T06:32:37.838-08:00This is not about losing the job - it's about ...This is not about losing the job - it's about saying thanks and good luck. She wasn't fired, she was eliminated. Where I go to church we teach the little ones to treat others as you want to be treated. As usual, it's all about what you learned in kindergarten, be nice, say please and thank you, etc. Apparently there is no place for that in government. If you are part of the decision to eliminate her at least have the good manners to wish her well. She worked alongside each and every council member at some point in her term as well as the Mayor. It was her idea for the paperweights at the Volunteer Appreciation event. Her idea for the 4th of July Citizens Parade, her idea for Christmas in Crabapple. The Mayor gives two people praise for putting on a race but nothing for Linda. Shame on all of them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21862313.post-74063696482091271632010-01-06T19:55:43.471-08:002010-01-06T19:55:43.471-08:00This is not the first good person to lose a job an...This is not the first good person to lose a job and won't be the last.

A poster said she would not have any problem finding a new job paying more than she was making. Many good people can't find a new job, regardless of pay. So get over it and let's move on in this sweet city.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21862313.post-22661110996021611852010-01-06T06:28:14.233-08:002010-01-06T06:28:14.233-08:00Joe, you forgot to say goodbye and good luck to so...Joe, you forgot to say goodbye and good luck to someone I worked with and cared about much at the City of Milton. Someone who worked there from day one. Someone who was serving as not only a projects/events person but also served as an integral part of bridging city hall and the community. Someone who had a passion for connecting us all. Someone who had her priorities in order in her everyday life. A grateful employee even at times when no one said thanks for a great job. Thanks for all the energy you gave us. And, did Council behave in the same way when it was time to say goodbye.

The words we don't say often hurt the most.

Think about it. And I ask that of all of you. How would you feel? She loved Milton and you and us, every one and everything.

Where do the volunteers stand now? Did y'all think that maybe we would want to be involved in a show of gratitude towards her. After all, SHE is the one who got us all rounded up since the very day the doors opened for the first time at City Hall.

Her name is Linda Blow.

And my heart cries out for her because she deserved more in the end. It was not her decision, it was ultimately yours as my favorite mayor.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
