Share your vote in the upper right.

Our previous poll asked:

"Should the Fulton County Board of Education be required to have approval of the Milton City Council before a public school is built within the city limits?"

The people of Milton need to wake up. At the last election you turned your city over to the developer interest and booted out those that really cared about the vision of Milton. They can do a lot of damage in four years, trust me we have seen it happen in Cherokee. Our citizens fell for the same trap as those in Milton. The developer interest made sure the noise never stopped so when the elections came they voted out those they perceived were the cause of the noise, only to put the developer interest in office. Our population skyrocketed overnight.
You all kicked Tina to the curb and put a subdivision resident in office that has no clue of the values you cherish, and you re-elected the “developer” that is the expert with shell companies. She and her family make their fortune off the backs of our military families. That doesn’t seem to bother you and yet you are all so concerned about one email sent by Tina. It’s so sad.

It's not the email, stupid!

Tina didn't lose the election because of her e-mail.

She lost the election because of her own actions and incompetence on the City Council.

I disagree. I felt she was very good as a Council Person. She was baited, and took the hook, that was her glaring mistake. Who wouldn't want to run for election without an opponent, duh.

Her being in violation doesn't mount up to the political game of chess which O'Brien, Thurman, and Lusk won, with the use as Longoria for their pawn. How's it feel Joe to be a puppet on the string. Oh, they have something on YOU now. It sucks doesn't it.

That's okay, at the end of the day, it is they who will be judged by the Ultimate Judge.

Thurman is a Christian, she wears a big gold cross around her neck. Why do you all talk so bad about her?

If only that were true. Your ethics board is nothing more than a kangaroo court used by the developers to attack those that may or may not have made a minor misstep. People need to pay attention to those that are filing these ethics complaints, and what their true motivation is.
Unless the PEOPLE of Milton have a vision of becoming the next John’s Creek, they need to wake up before the next election.

Didn’t your mother raise you not to call people names.

Well I was taught that sticks and stones would break my bones but names would never hurt me.

Facts work so much better.

The real issue behind the hearing which has not been covered is that Lisa Cauley was appointed to the board for the sole purpose of being Tina's advocate and would not recuse herself. She is clearly in violation of the ethics ordinance but the board and the process were proven to be so much of a joke that it is a waste of time to file a complaint against her.

I find your comment interesting. Please share with our readers why you think Miss Cauley should have recused herself.

Thanks,

I just checked Cherokee's website after reading the comment about Thurman & family's unpaid taxes. It's true.

Considering this and her legal troubles in Calif and Tennessee, maybe Milton should investigate her ethics.

What next, did Norvell play any role?

What about Clint Johnson? He is tied into Obrien much more than Lisa is to Tina.

How about Karen Thurman and Bill Lusk attending the hearing, anyone find that a little odd?

Anonymous said...

Naw, Bill and Karen just wanted to reap the fruits of their labor. It was hard work planning and sneaking in the background and swearing their accomplices to secrecy.

I guess they made Tina write and send that email to Joe Longoria too?

If what Tina did was unethical, there'll be a lot of politicians to call forward who've done the same but behind closed doors. Why don't you get back on your witch hunt and round them up? Or do you only get on your high horse if it feeds your cause?

One unethical politician/servant at a time!

Wow, a lowly email kicked Tina out of office!

How do you people feel about John Oxendine and his disasters?

Oh wait, he's a man so that is okay but a minor mistake by a woman is cause for her to be burned at the stake.

Why not run Karen out on a rail for the taxes she refuses to pay while on the Milton board?

Why is she protected?

Anonymous said...

Don't worry. California and Tennessee won't protect Karen.

Also, there are other states where her loan company operates in violation of securities and consumer protection laws. They may bring their own suits.

The nearly 800 military families who were illegally targeted by Rome Finance Co., Inc. can come forward with individual lawsuits.

If Milton won't clean up its own, other states and people will.

Funny how Johnson stated that night he supported 3 council person's for election, and campaigned with one of them, and the one he was talking about was O'Brien wasn't it? I think he left that out.
